PANKO Youth Center
The goal of the PANKO Adolescents Center is to give underprivileged youth the chance to acquire the skills they need to reach their full potential. PANKO is trying to enhance five skill sets of children and young people, including foundational skills, digital skills, transferable skills, job-specific skills, and entrepreneurial skills, on a 0.6-acre area including learning spaces and a playground.
The youth centre now offers after-school programmes to help rural youngsters who are enrolled in school with basic skills and to refocus their energy and time away from social vices in order to help them escape the worst forms of poverty. For impoverished schoolchildren, teenagers, and women, PANKO would launch an ICT intervention in October 2022 that would include computer and internet services as well as demand-driven training in ICT skills (both software and hardware).
Utilizing ecologically safe and sustainable methods, this intervention will help underprivileged adolescents in Ghana’s Northern area by improving their access to school and job opportunities.
