OML Africa is recruiting qualified persons for the position of Human Resources Officers.
This slot is open for their Accra and Takoradi branch.
To assist the business to deliver people-related processes, vision and strategy across the company, in connection with the laws of Ghana.
Responsibilities
- The person will lead and direct the daily functions of the HR department including recruitment, administering pay, benefits, and leave.
- The person will manage and coordinate diverse teams (sales, customer service, commercial etc.)
- The person will oversee the daily workflow of the HR department.
- The person will provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- The person will handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy and relevant laws.
- The person will partner with management team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to management, and other employees when complex, specialized, and sensitive HR issues arise
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Requirement
- BSc / BA in Human Resource Management or equivalent
- At least 5 years of proven successful work experience as HR manager
- Proven success in HR administration, as well as evidence of the ability to manage relationships with employees including management team, expats, casuals etc.
- Solid understanding of social, labour law, HR research methods and analysis in Ghana
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and employees’ objectives setting
- Excellent instincts and social-cultural awareness coupled with a strategic mindset
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a perfect teamwork mindset
- Strong communication, negotiation and critical thinking skills.
- Ensure confidentiality of all employer/employee information
- Strong emotional intelligence is required
- Strong Microsoft software knowledge (PPP, XL tables, Words documents, etc.)
