Dura-Line is looking for an engaging and driven individual with multi-site experience who has a deep understanding of the commodities suppliers, markets, products, and supply chains to partner with suppliers through strategic plan development. You will initiate procurement projects to reduce cost and ensure continuity of supply.

The Category Manager will manage resell accessories, raw materials, and major commodities like couplers, rubbers, metal components, polyester yard & additives. We need someone that has the strategic aptitude on purchasing components & resell items.

In this exciting remote position, you will be a driven force in identifying ways to minimize the cost of supplies and maximize service through managing relationships and performance of suppliers and developing partnerships that support the client’s needs. You will need a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or any other related field and a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience managing procurement projects focusing in accessories in a manufacturing environment where you were responsible for reducing cost, ensuring continuity of supply, and sourcing from suppliers. ISM or ASCM is a huge plus.

What will you be doing?

• Manage the supply base for a $40+ million-dollar growing accessory business; the main categories are: couplers, lubricants, pull tape, caps, and supporting components where applicable.
• Report on key supplier KPI’s including savings, on-time delivery, sustainability initiatives, and quality.
• Source, negotiate, and coordinate all accessory contracts and agreements.
• Work with commercial team and corporate buyer to set up and maintain material master planning parameters in SAP related to MOQ, lead times, safety stocks, and information records.
• Develop, manage, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure goods and services are available at optimum pricing, quality, and delivery.

You must be computer savvy and have SAP materials management in procurement experience with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office. ERP experience utilizing programs such as SAP is required, as you will be responsible for using a material management module.
