Key Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Calibrate facility instruments and troubleshoot automation systems, including industrial motor controls, pump drives, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
  • Conduct electrical repairs, diagnose instrumentation issues, and interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams to support maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in daily maintenance meetings to drive continuous improvement in equipment and processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate work performed by external contractors to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare maintenance reports, maintain accurate records, and manage inventory of supplies and parts.
  • Maximize the lifespan of aging equipment through component-level troubleshooting and resource-efficient repairs.
  • Uphold company policies, technical standards, food safety protocols, and legal/regulatory requirements (health, safety, environmental).

Qualifications

  • Education & Certification:
    • Electrical Engineering Technician Level 3 (EET 3) certification with 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician.
    • Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 2+ years of industrial experience.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and interpreting engineering schematics.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, PLCs, and automation systems.
    • Familiarity with safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and food safety standards is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and teamwork.
    • Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
