Job Summary
Administrative coordinators handle clerical and administrative duties and coordinate general administration within organizations. They serve as a point of contact by linking employees, internal departments, and customers. They also lead other administrative workers by assigning tasks, developing skills, and planning administrative projects.
- The Administrative Co-ordinator (Recruitment) will work to support the achievement of the company’s staffing objectives
- This would include implementing recruiting strategies that will deliver suitably qualified job candidates to identified vacancies.
- Position occupant will also handle industrial relations issues.
Administrative Coordinator Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the administrative support field.
- Meticulous approach to administrative tasks.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with office technology and equipment, including fax machines, printers, copiers, scanners, and computers.
- Creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid presentation skills.
- Strong task and time management skills.
- Basic math abilities and an understanding of basic financial concepts.
- Professional appearance and courteous manner.
- Possess a good first degree in Human resource development or management, sociology, psychology, Public Administration or a comparable from a recognised university
- Have at least 5 years relevant post-qualification working experience
- Be computer literate and numerate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Have good communication, interviewing and negotiation skills
- Have good organization skills and be able to relate to staff at all levels
- Membership of a professional HR body such as IHRMP, SHRM or CIPD will be an added advantage
Administrative Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff members.
- Delegating tasks and ensuring that they are completed in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
- Greeting visitors and directing them to to the appropriate parties.
- Handling basic office duties, such as answering and routing phones, responding to emails, data entry, and reporting.
- Answering questions and finding information for employees, vendors, clients, and lenders.
- Supporting employees by facilitating interdepartmental communications and interactions between internal and external parties.
- Ensuring that the office is well-maintained, organized, and secure.
- Assisting with special projects, such as process improvements and budget development.
- Developing and implementing new policies and processes.
