ELIVERY DRIVERS AND RIDERS
Xpress Gas is looking to hire responsible Delivery Riders and Drivers who will deliver products safely and in a timely manner to assigned customers.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure the right quantity of products are loaded into the assigned company vehicle/motorbike and follow a scheduled route to ensure all deliveries are made in a safe and timely manner as scheduled a specific geographical area
Duties & Responsibilities
- Repetitively loading, transporting, and delivering cylinders to customers or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
- Assisting with loading and unloading cylinders from vehicles.
- Accepting payments for delivered items.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
- Updating the Drivers’ Logbook on a daily basis with the required information.
- Ensure that assigned vehicle/motorbike documents/ particulars are updated and valid.
- Ensure that the vehicle/motorbike is cleaned routinely always.
- Carry out daily inspection on the general condition of the assigned vehicle and must properly lock the vehicle when unattended and securely fasten products at all times.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for making deliveries
Experience, Education and Skills
- Higher National Diploma or WASSCE or Technical Certificate Holder
- Must possess a valid License Class A,AB,AC or C+(mandatory)
- Must be polite and able to get along with people.
- Attention to detail
- Proven experience as a delivery driver/dispatch rider or relevant position.
- Ability to communicate, read and write.
- Familiarity with roads in specified geographic areas and ability to quickly learn new routes
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Analytical thinking skills
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
