A reputable Hospital based in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana is inviting interested candidates to apply for the position of HR/Admin Manager.

Job Summary

Supervises the implementation of Human Resource policies and monitors line operations to ensure adherence to HR policies throughout the Hospital.

Job Description

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Advises Management on all HR issues
  • Assists recruit, select and place competent job candidates for the Hospital.
  • Designs, implements, and regularly reviews suitable HR systems and strategies to utilize employee potentials and promote healthy employee relations to achieve competitive advantage for the Hospital.
  • Provides guidelines to all Departmental Heads on Human Resource issues.
  • Supervises the implementation of Human Resource policies and monitors line operations to ensure adherence to HR policies throughout the Hospital.
  • Develops and implements human resource information systems to facilitate storage, identification, and retrieval of employee personal and career data.
  • Assigns duties to and monitors activities of team members to ensure achievement of performance standards.
  • Identifies the training needs of immediate team members and organizes or recommends appropriate training for them.
  • Assesses the performance of immediate team members and reviews those for lower-level employees.
  • Administers discipline affecting immediate team members in accordance with the company’s disciplinary code and procedure.

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent.
  • 5 years working experience in similar position and related areas.
  • Understanding of the role of HR in a modern organization.
  • Assertiveness – ability to articulate views, decisions and policies and stick to them where necessary.
  • Trustworthiness – ability to conduct self in a manner which elicits trust, respect, and confidence of the workforce.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to relate effectively to people at all levels.
  • High level integrity
  • Knowledge in hospital set up is a plus
