This means that over the coming years, more individuals will need additional care in their homes or institutions.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eligibility_Requirements_for_Permanent_Residency_Under_LCP\"><\/span><strong>Eligibility Requirements for Permanent Residency Under LCP<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>For those already in Canada under the LCP, the requirements to transition to permanent residency include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Requirement<\/strong>: Must have completed a minimum of 24 months of authorized full-time employment as a live-in caregiver within four years from the date of arrival.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employment Documentation<\/strong>: Proof of work experience must be documented through employer references, pay stubs, and residency documentation confirming the live-in arrangement.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Legal Status<\/strong>: Must maintain valid temporary resident status throughout their employment period in Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Process_to_Apply_for_Permanent_Residency\"><\/span><strong>Process to Apply for Permanent Residency<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Complete Work Requirement<\/strong>: Ensure all work requirements are met, including the specified duration and conditions of employment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gather Documentation<\/strong>: Compile all necessary documents, including proof of work experience, copies of work permits, and personal identification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submit Application<\/strong>: Complete and submit the application for permanent residency to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
