Mine Design and Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Establish the necessary Mine Planning processes and Practices including Operational Readiness
• Provide unequivocal mine planning data to enable updates of the rolling plan to be produced on time.
• Develop the annual Mine Planning cost centre budget to achieve the required targets for achieving quarterly and annual business plans
• Deliver the work of the Mine Planning function within the approved budget targets and specified timeframes, costs and related KPIs
• Rigorously drive implementation of projects and nurture and sustain culture of Accountability and Continuous Improvement within Mine Planning team

Qualifications

• Must possess BSc Mining/Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant mine planning experience in open-pit or underground mining environment.
